The 2009 NHLA Annual Convention & Exhibit Showcase is taking place in Boston, September 30 – October 2 at the Sheraton Boston Hotel.
The ’09 “Global Gathering of the Hardwood Community” will again provide prominent Keynote speakers, industry expert led education seminars, an exhibit hall with buyers, suppliers and the latest technology as well as unrivaled networking opportunities.
The National Hardwood Lumber Association was originally founded in 1898 to establish a uniform system of grading rules for the measurement and inspection of hardwood lumber. Today, the National Hardwood Lumber Association is the oldest and largest hardwood association with over 1600 members representing all sectors of the hardwood industry.
More than a century after origination, the NHLA standards and rules that were once developed to ease regional trade, are now employed worldwide for the same reason. While the NHLA past is rich in history and tradition, the present NHLA is a modern trade association providing its members the means to succeed in a competitive global economy now and in the future. But it doesn’t stop there.
